 | Motivation, Shamatha and Dedication
 | |
The practices of motivation, shamatha and dedication are fundamental elements of buddhist study and practice. The Three Noble Principles are the basis of the Buddhist path and as Longchenpa said: “The heart, the eye and the life force of the practice.”
At Clear Lake, Rinpoche said we should share these teachings from the retreat with everyone in the sangha. These teachings were very rich, and Rinpoche taught on the Ground and Path on many levels, and he showed us the Fruition. These teachings on meditation, nature of mind, motivation, and dedication are easily accessible to students of all levels, and there is much for each student at their own level, regardless of what it is.
This study module based upon the 2002 Clear Lake teachings will take place over an approximately 6 week span beginning on Tuesday, April 29nd.
